Univ.-Prof. Dr. Soelve I. Curdts has been appointed Faculty Adviser for the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, effective March 1, 2022.

The Studienstiftung (German Academic Scholarship Foundation) supports young people with outstanding academic or artistic abilities who can be expected to make an exceptional contribution to society.

Supported by scholarships from the Studienstiftung, Curdts studied at the University of Essen, the École Normale Supérieure Paris, and Princeton University. She was awarded a DFG Heisenberg Professorship in 2018, and is now Chair of Comparative Literature at the Institute of English and American Studies.
