Collaboration with IEL

The Institute of English and American Studies, Heinrich Heine University is pleased to continue to cooperate with the International English Library (IEL) for the 2026 IEL Debating Program and Competition.

As part of this partnership, our students serve as Student Mentors, supporting workshops, schools, and debate events. The collaboration connects university-level English studies with practical mentoring experience while promoting academic exchange with participating schools.

For BA students, participation in the program can be recognized either as a course within the Praxismodul (3 credits) or as part of the Fachübergreifender Wahlpflichtbereich (FÜW) / Profilbildungsbereich (PBB) (3 credits).
